Hi there. My name is Ken Takagi. I’m currently a graduate student at Boston University finishing up a Ph.D in the Department of Earth and Environment. My research spans isotope geochemistry, hydrology and soil science. Prior to my graduate studies, I worked as an environmental scientist in New York City. Through my research, I’ve developed an healthy interest in scientific programming and data crunching (mainly R, but MATLAB as well) and data visualization. I created this blog to share my experiences using R, as a repository for some of my R scripts, and to hopefully help others learn R. Feel free to leave comments and feedback. Happy reading!
